• Program Description

  Peter Marks, MD, PhD, director of the Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research (CBER), will discuss the FDA’s Jan. 27 draft guidance, "Recommendations for Evaluating Donor Eligibility Using Individual Risk-Based Questions to Reduce the Risk of Human Immunodeficiency Virus Transmission by Blood and Blood Products” and its implications for the blood community.

  Following Marks’ presentation, Sharon Carayiannis, MT(ASCP)HP, vice president of science and practice at AABB, will moderate a question-and-answer session.
